About Me

My interest in photography started in my late teens with the purchase of a second hand 1975 Rollei. With pocket camera in my hand, I discovered the true art of photography: I remember entering my first photographic competition, surprisingly I won first prize. This contributed towards my confidence whilst I studied art and design at Bradford College of Art.

Once graduating college, I was hired by the well renowned advertising agency TBWA London.  However this was only the beginning of a successful career as an advertising Art Director.

In my creative career I have won Cannes Silver, D&AD silver nominations, in the US, Clio and The One show awards.  Covering TV, posters, and press advertising.

Photography has always been a big part of my job as an art director. From my studio in the Scottish Borders I am developing a distinctive style in portraiture, animal portraits, products, and still life subjects.
